JP Du Plessis

JP du Plessis, South African born with a whirlwind school rugby career, traveling all over from Italy to Egeland, to various provinces in South Africa from age U16 to U18, along with Paul Gymnasium, the Western province, Craven Week Rugby this all being part of the South African School Squad.

His travels didn’t stop here as he moved to Australia after school to join rugby leagues, Sydney Roosters and Brain Skosana. In 2010 he reverted to union rugby, signing with the Australian team, The Rebels for the Super Rugby season.

In 2011 Du Plessis signing with the Union Team, Western Province and made appearances for the Western Province U21 side during the 2011 U21 Provincial Championship. In 2012 he was included in the Stormers Super Squad as well as making another 7’s appearance in the Vodacom Cup and the Currie Cup.

JP travelled to France to team Montpellier in 2013/14 Super Rugby Season, after coming back to South Africa to play for Union Teams, the Griquas and the Cheetahs. With a love for travel, he is currently a rugby union player for NOLA Gold of the Major League Rugby (MLR) in North America after previously playing for the San Diego Legion in MLR.

This year will be Du Plessis’ second time playing 10’s Rugby, after being part of the winning team at the World Tens Series in Bermuda last year.
