Inês Marques

Representing the host city of the Rugby Tens Championship, the ambitious Portuguese international Sevens player, Inês Marques.

Inês is a 7’s, 10’s and 15’s rugby player born and raised in Lisbon. She started playing rugby when she was 16 years old at Clube de Rugby do Técnico. In 2015, Inês moved to her current club, Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting Lisbon) as well as making her debut for the Portugal Sevens Team.

Besides playing 7’s as a forward, Inês is also a 15’s player, where she plays hooker and No. 8 positions.

She has had a lot of achievements in the last decade, mostly with Sporting CP. She has been part of 4 National Sevens Championships from 2011 – 2019.
From 2012 – 2020 she has been part of 6 Cup of Portugal and 3 Super Cup of Portugal, 2 Iberian Cups, 1 National Tens Championship, 1 National Championship of Honor Division XII and 1 National Championship of Honor Division XV.
