Eugene Hare

Introducing South African scrumhalf, Eugene Hare – current Leopards union player in the 2021 Currie Cup 1st Division Champions.

Hare’s had a successful rugby career thus far starting at U16 with the Leopards in 2011 and moving on to U18 Craven Week and U18 Leopards Academy week. In 2014 he formed part of the Leopards U19 Currie Cup Team as well as the 2015 Leopards Provincial Sevens Team.

In 2015 he played for the North West University (NWU) U21 and was part of the NWU Sevens team until 2017. He went on to play for the Leopards U21 Currie Cup and NWU Pukke Pirates League Champs. In 2018, he joined the South African Students NWU Sevens Team until 2019. Hare has been a great representative of NWU as he played for his University Team “The Pukke” in the Varsity Cup from 2017-2020.
