Alia Ah Far
Introducing New Zealander, Alia Ah Far to the R10C.
Alia began playing rugby in high school and went on to make Wellington rugby representative teams after showing major potential.
Alia made a big move to the states to study and play rugby for Lindenwood University in Missouri, USA. She was also a part of a successful women’s rugby program that has won back-to-back 15’s and 7’s titles in D1A USA collegiate rugby. After graduation, she moved to California to pursue a rugby scholarship that allowed her to study chiropractic and play rugby for Life College of Chiropractic West.
During the initial stages of the COVID pandemic, Alia returned home to New Zealand where she played for the Wellington Pride Rugby team that competed in the 2020 Farah Palmer Cup.
“Rugby has helped me develop the physical and mental toughness to overcome challenges and see them as opportunities to grow. Rugby has helped me become more grounded in who I am as a person. I walk with confidence and carry values that allow me to live with purpose and intent as I know who I am and I am able to use that to become a better player and person.” – Alia Ah Far
